The founder of SpaceX, Elon Musk, says they plan to send an actual bitcoin dogecoin to the actual moon. “SpaceX is going to put a literal Dogecoin on the literal moon,” Musk said with dogecoin’s price jumping by 15%. That makes it the 18th biggest crypto with a market cap of $8 billion and significant volumes of about $4 billion. It’s a bit unclear currently whether this is an Aprils fool, in which case it comes far behind the Dogecoin No Longer Worth 1 Doge joke at the then very bottom of the market. But Musk could well be serious as it wouldn’t really cost him too much to send a dogecoin or bitcoin to the moon or Mars (once he gets there).
