VaultTel LLC announced the launch of VaultTel software, which will utilize chip cards that can securely store private keys for cryptocurrency and digital assets on mobile phones. By combining the mobile phone, encryption technology and biometric authentication, VaultTel is providing its customers with access to the same level of security provided by hardware wallets, with the convenience of managing their cryptocurrency funds through their phones. They’ve introduced this solution in the U.S. and will immediately expand to Europe.
“VaultTel’s multi-actor authentication security designed for cryptocurrency storage on mobile phones is the first of its kind and that really sets us apart.”
VaultTel provides their customers with highly secure digital currency storage through combining software (VaultTel app) and hardware (VaultTel chip card) that is then integrated with the mobile phone, biometric authentication technology and state-of-the-art encryption. The VaultTel chip card works through being inserted into a SIM card tray within phones that come with dual-SIM capabilities or through additional phone accessories.
Here are some unique factors that make VaultTel more secure than its partners:
Biometric Authentication: correct biometric data is needed to access the wallet
Device Lock: the capability to lock access of the wallet to one specific device (optional)
GeoLock: the capability to lock access of the wallet within a geo-fence stored on the chip (optional)
Military Grade Encryption: data is stored on the chip using AES 512, a military grade encryption
VaultTel is the only cryptocurrency storage solution specifically designed to be used on the mobile phone, unlike other hardware wallets that require an external device with a micro-USB connection.
CEO, Isaac Daniel says, “VaultTel’s multi-actor authentication security designed for cryptocurrency storage on mobile phones is the first of its kind and that really sets us apart.”
